SUNDAY Morning:

Lessons of the Day: Focuses on Scripture readings for the appointed Sundays of the church year; this is led by John Schinnerer at 9:30AM in the Library. Bring a friend and a Bible.

Video-based Study on Sunday mornings in the Choir Room, 9:30-10:30AM. Join us for the remaining Sunday mornings in August as we continue our study using the new DVD series, That the World May Know.

Labor Day Weekend (September 5) Special Prayer Breakfast: The Board of Discipleship and Community Impact Committee invite adults and children for a light breakfast in the Parish Lounge, followed by a time of prayer. Prayers for our children, youth, and teachers will be our focus for this hour together. In July, we gathered to pray for our nation and her leaders; now we gather in prayer for our students and those responsible for all areas of education. 3 John 4 says, " I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth." As our educators and children return to the classrooms, we will send them off in prayer. Please join us for this time together!

Pastor's Class for September: The pastors will continue the study begun last year titled, "The 70" in the Choir Room for 5-6 more weeks. Please check out the October Chimes for what's coming next!

WEDNESDAY Evening:

Living Way normally meets on Wednesday evenings at 7PM in the Parish Lounge. Living Way is taking a summer break and will resume in the FALL. We will start back up on September 15 and we'll be diving into the book of Acts.

New GriefShare class to begin: There will be a new GriefShare class starting September 15. There will actually be 2 classes starting on Wednesdays, one in the afternoon (1:00-2:15PM) in the Conference Room and one in the evening (7PM) in the Multipurpose Room 215. These opportunities are for anyone experiencing grief in any number of ways. If you would like more information on what GriefShare is, check out their website at www.GriefShare.org or talk to Karl Fink.

THURSDAY Morning:

Men's Bible Study from 6:00-7:00AM in the Parish Lounge with Karl Fink. This study has been meeting through the summer months, and will continue on into the Fall. *If you need to leave earlier for work, no problems! We're always looking for new men to join us, so as your schedule allows consider meeting us as we study God's Good Word, fellowship, and pray together.

Women's Bible Study: We are taking a summer vacation. The Women's Thursday morning Bible study will not be meeting this summer. Our study will resume September 9, 2010. Our study meets in the Conference Room on Thursday mornings from 9:15-11AM. Childcare is provided. We're beginning the study, "Anxious for Nothing" by John MacArthur. This study will examine anxiety, fear, worry, and stress, and how to experience "peace that passes all understanding." We'll focus on our one true comfort and victory - God's Holy Word. This is a great way to dig deeper into the Bible and get to know many wonderful women.  Hope you can join us in the fall!  If you have any questions, please call the church office and leave a message for Meg Velez.
