SUNDAY Morning, Afternoon & Evening:

Making "Community Connections" through Prayer:

This group meets 7:30-7:55AM every Sunday in the Conference Room. You are invited to drop in any Sunday and pray silently or from a prayer guide. Consider coming next Sunday...you will be so welcomed! God is powerful and mighty. He asks that we come to Him with our requests. FYI all who worship and all who serve in worship service are prayed for as well. - Pre-service Prayer Group

WEDNESDAY Evening:

Christ In The Passover:

Please plan to join us for a very special presentation on Wednesday April 12th at 7:00PM in the Sanctuary as we welcome Josh Sofaer, a missionary from Jews For Jesus.  Mr. Sofaer will present a program called Christ In The Passover.  This presentation shows the link between the ancient Festival of Redemption and Christ as the Lamb of God.  This sermonic demonstration is visual, so you will actually see a table set with traditional Passover items. Mr. Sofaer will use Scripture as well as the visual items to walk through a Jewish Passover seder, weaving the story of the Exodus together with the life, death and resurrection of Christ. The words Christ spoke in the upper room come alive as each Hebraic item is carefully explained.  This is an amazing way to begin our Holy Week journey to the cross and the open tomb.  You won’t want to miss it!

Living Way - The UBER Memory Verse:

Many, if not most, Christians have spent some time memorizing a verse or verses of the Bible. Whether as part of curriculum in parochial school, confirmation and Sunday School  instruction or personal spiritual discipline Bible verse memory is not an anomaly.  That being said a Memory Verse is one thing, a Memory Epistle is quite another!  Especially if said Epistle is one of the longest in the New Testament.  Martin Luther once said, “Every Christian should know St. Paul’s letter to the Romans, word for word, by heart.”  Even if such memory capabilities are beyond you, knowing both the purest teaching on the person and work of Jesus and power of the Spirit at work through St. Paul’s work i.e. his Epistle to the Romans is something for which every Christian ought strive; for as Luther also said regarding reading the book of Romans, “it was as if I had entered Paradise through open gates.”

Living Way will be walking through those same gates as we pour over the words of St. Paul’s letter to the Romans, even if we are unable to memorize them all by heart.  Living Way is normally on Wednesday at 7:30PM in the Parish Lounge.  Email Pastor Kevin (kkritzer@bethanylutheran.org) for your electronic copy of the study!
  • Living Way is currently taking a Lenten break in March.

Refuel

ReFuel is the first & third Wednesdays of the month at 6:45PM. ReFuel is a gathering of God’s people here at Bethany in which we share what God has been doing in our lives, seek the support from one another through prayer requests and reflect upon a portion of the Word before approaching the table of the Lord. ReFuel ends about 7:20PM and the sanctuary remains open for 15-20 minutes for personal prayer and reflection.

  • ReFuel is currently taking a Lenten break in March.

THURSDAY Morning:

Men's Morning Bible Study

This study meets from 6:00-7:00AM Thursdays in the Parish Lounge. *If you need to leave earlier for work, no problem! We‘re always looking for new men to join us, so as your schedule allows consider meeting with us as we study God‘s Good Word, fellowship, & pray together.  We are currently using a DVD/discussion series on Martin Luther.

Women's Bible Study

Women's Thursday Morning Bible Study meets each Thursday from 9:15-11:00AM in the Parish Lounge. This school year, we will begin with the study of the 23rd Psalm. We will be using Max Lucado;s book, "Traveling Light." In January, we will then begin the study of the gospel of Mark. Bible study is not only a great way to grow in your relationship with God, but it is also a great way to make friends with other women. I invite you to give this Bible Study a try. If you need childcare, please let me know ASAP or if you have any questions, please contact Meg Velez. Hope to see you!

  • If you have any questions, please contact Meg Velez or call the church office.
